While mid-winter months often bring days of quieter activities at home, our mountain community nonprofits have another idea in mind. Over the next several weeks, you can take a wellness morning, transport yourself to a jazz-era themed gala, don a fun costume and jump in the lake, or escape into a tropical paradise for good causes.

Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice Gala Set for February 27

Mount Evans Home Health Care & Hospice invites guests to step into an unforgettable evening of music, glamour and giving at its Jazz Age Jubilee fundraiser. Inspired by the legendary clubs of the 1920s and 1930s, Mount Vernon Canyon Club will be transformed into a time when speakeasys, intimate jazz lounges and grand ballrooms were the social hot spots. Costumes featuring satin gowns, pearls, tuxedos and velvet jackets are encouraged along with flapper dresses, feathers and fedoras.

The fundraiser begins at 5:30 pm with beverages and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a sit-down dinner at 7 pm. Other highlights of the evening will be live jazz music, games, and live and silent auctions. For information on tickets, remaining sponsorship availability, and auction items available for viewing online February 20, go to mtevans.org.

Mount Evans provides compassionate and experienced care to individuals and families, including home health, palliative care and hospice. In addition to medical services, Mount Evans offers grief support, caregiver support, community health services and education.
