Celebrate the Arts at CAE’s June 4 Community Event

Knowing that the arts have the power to create connection, Center for the Arts Evergreen is inviting the entire community to a free Day of the Arts celebration on Saturday, June 4 from 10 am – 4 pm at CAE. The event will engage area arts entities and performance groups including Sculpture Evergreen, Evergreen Children’s Chorale, Evergreen Players, The Venue Theatre, Evergreen Ballet, StageDoor Theatre, and local high school performers.

Attendees will experience artist demonstrations, a makers’ gift market, and live local music on the outdoor stage. There will be a public gallery exhibition with hosted tours and an artist Q&A session, as well as activities for children.

A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the 2022 Arts Person of the Year to honor Cathy Jones. Jones’ watercolor and acrylic paintings have been part of multiple shows at CAE. In addition to her work as an artist, Cathy has been a longtime CAE instructor and a volunteer for the Rocky Mountain National Watermedia committee, Summerfest, and several exhibit openings.
