There’s something special about Fourth of July in the foothills, and this year it feels even bigger, more connected, and full of the community spirit we all love.
Now in its third year, Foothills Fourth continues to grow into a signature celebration for our mountain community. In collaboration with the Evergreen Park & Recreation District, residents of all ages are invited to gather at Buchanan Fields on Saturday, July 4, from 11 am-4 pm for a full day of fun, laughter and connection.
This isn’t just an event; it’s a chance to come together and celebrate what makes living here so special. From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the energy of the day. We will kick the day off with a children’s bike race and Goat Yoga. Live music will carry us into the afternoon with three bands taking the stage, creating the perfect backdrop, whether you’re relaxing in a lawn chair or getting up to dance. Families can wander through carnival games spread across the field, while others may pause to watch talented artists transform raw timber during live wood carving demonstrations. We will also have log rolling, which is always a hit, especially on a hot day.
And, of course, no Fourth of July celebration would be complete without great food and refreshing drinks. Local vendors will be offering something for every taste.
