Conifer Historical Society Opens its Doors for Holiday Shopping, November 29 and 30

Travel back in time with a visit to the Conifer Historical Society and Museum while browsing for unique holiday gifts. On Saturday, Nov. 29 and Sunday, Nov. 30 from 11 am-3 pm, local artists and crafters will have their goods for sale including candles by Conifer Candle Company, reclaimed wood furniture by Mark and Donna Long Beck, kitchen linens and décor by Middlefork Farmhouse, jewelry from Journey Jewelry Design, and pottery by Beth Jones Pottery. The CHSM gift shop will feature a one-of-a-kind selection of local history books, handmade holiday ornaments and décor, original art and photography, hand-turned aspen vases and bowls, artisan knitwear, and jewelry.

Take a break from shopping and check out the exhibitions on Conifer in the 1800s including the Yellow Barn, area landmarks, the Hi-Lander Inn and other pieces of Colorado history. Evergreen Holiday Walk Set for Dec. 5

The Downtown Evergreen holiday walk gets underway on Friday, December 5 with the official tree lighting with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Evergreen Lakehouse at 5 pm. The scene then shifts to Main Street, closed to traffic so that holiday revelers can enjoy crackling firepits, s’mores, shopping at local retailers, food trucks and more.

Highlights of this official Evergreen kick-off to the holiday season include Santa photos, live musical performances, Dickens’ carolers, Santa’s reindeer, goats, face-painting, carriage rides near Highland Haven, and Buddy the Elf at Evergreen Crafters.

Three-Day Kris Kindle Market Premieres at Peak Arts Village in Conifer

A holiday market, live music, food and a visit from Santa will highlight the first Kris Kindle Market at Peak Arts Village, 26437 Conifer Road in Conifer, Friday, December 5 from 4-8 pm, Saturday, December 6 from 10 am-8 pm, and Sunday, December 7 from 10 am-4 pm.

Attendees will enjoy food favorites from The Yum Bus, Slife’s Devil Dogs and Ripple; kid and adult versions of hot chocolate, bottled beverages and mulled wine; family friendly entertainment with bands, carolers, actors and dancers; a kid’s corner, and Santa’s cabin. Handcrafted gifts for the holiday season will be available from vendors specializing in jewelry, clothing, pottery, stained glass, oils and balms, wood, ornaments, and more.

CAE Welcomes the Community to Winterfest, December 6

All ages are invited to experience the magic of Center for the Arts Evergreen Winterfest, a free holiday gathering to delight the senses on Dec. 6 from 10 am-4 pm. In addition to abundant holiday shopping at the artisan market, expect a visit from Santa, with free photos available from 11 am-1 pm, a kids’ craft station, face-painting, a hot cocoa bar, food trucks, and live music throughout the day. The Evergreen Children’s Chorale, Ovation West and the Evergreen Conservatory of Music will be making special appearances.

Attendees will also have the chance to view and buy works of art from the CAE member exhibition. CAE’s team of elves will offer complimentary gift wrapping to make your holiday preparation that much easier. Winterfest’s presenting

Conifer Christmas Presents 2 Shows December 7 at Stagedoor Theatre

The annual Conifer Christmas show will feature its tradition of storytelling and song with a few enhancements to mark its 10th anniversary, and 2 showtimes, at noon and 3:30 pm to fit your holiday schedule.

In addition to the beloved songs and stories of Christmas past, including some highlighting holidays in the early days of Conifer, the concert will feature four musicians—multi-instrumentalist Norman Hughes, percussionist Dennis Swiftdeer Paige, multi-instrumentalist Rex Rideout and featured harpist and fiddler Marianne Gibbs. Joining the musical ensemble will be performers from Caitríona Irish Dance.
