Summer is in full swing, and you won’t want to miss all the fun that Evergreen has to offer! From live music and art festivals to community traditions and local shopping, there is something happening all season long to bring residents together and celebrate everything we love about our town.
Our summer event calendar is packed with opportunities to connect, enjoy the outdoors, and experience local culture. Enjoy an evening under the stars at the Evergreen Summer Concert Series, browse incredible local artwork at Center for the Arts Evergreen’s Summerfest (July 18-19), or take in world-class performances during the Evergreen Jazz Festival (July 24-26). Be sure to mark your calendar for other community favorites, including the Mountain Music Fest (August 16) and the Evergreen Fine Arts Festival (August 22-23). For fans of the performing arts, don’t forget to check out the summer lineup at Center Stage for an evening of fantastic local theater. Families also won’t want to miss the always popular Dam Ducky Derby (August 1), where hundreds of rubber ducks race down Bear Creek in support of the Evergreen Downtown Business Association.
Right at the heart of our warm weather adventures is Evergreen Lake. When the sun is shining, there’s no better place to be. You can rent stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and paddleboats at the lake house, or bring your own paddleboard to launch onto the water. Bring a blanket and a picnic to relax on the grass, go fishing, or enjoy the scenic trail that loops around the water. With stunning mountain views, the lake perfectly captures the active, outdoor spirit of summer in the foothills.
In between events and lake days, take time to support the businesses that make Evergreen such a special place to call home. Wander through locally owned boutiques, galleries, and specialty shops, where you can find unique gifts, handcrafted goods, and Colorado made products. Enjoy lunch or dinner on a patio, meet a friend for coffee, grab a sweet treat, or explore a new restaurant you have been meaning to try. Every visit helps strengthen our local economy and supports the small businesses that are here for us year-round.
