I used to think when my children were toddlers that life was so busy and there were not enough hours in the day. When they were school age and had sports and other activities they needed to be driven to, I knew life could not get busier! I am not sure when this carousel of life will slow down, but just because I no longer have kids living at home who need to be “taken care of,” life has certainly not slowed. And for that, I am grateful! Learning how to balance all the different facets of my life would definitely help me in not feeling overwhelmed.

On May 2, the Evergreen Chamber will be hosting our annual Women in Business Luncheon along with our title sponsor, Intermountain Health. While I always love this event and the different topics we tackle each year through our main speaker, this year our speaker will be addressing that topic of work-life balance. Jenn DeWall, our main speaker, will be focusing on tools that we can all use to find more balance. She will instruct us on how to create an action plan that we can refer back to when that out of control feeling creeps back in. These tools are not gender specific nor are they age specific, and this luncheon is open to all. Please consider joining us at this luncheon at Mount Vernon Canyon Club, where we will also induct a few local women into the Mountain Area Women in Business Hall of Fame, and recognize a few “Women on the Rise.”

Stay tuned for more information on the Fourth of July!

How does an old-fashioned carnival for July 4th sound? How about a stage with great music and demonstrations by local groups in our

community? Add in a kid’s bike parade, a wood carving showcase, and more! All of this will be right here in Evergreen on July 4th! Stay tuned….
