July 4 is on a Friday this year, and last month I teased that the Foothills Fourth event would be bigger and better than last year. So here are some more details…
H6:30 – 8 am: Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides (Never been offered in Evergreen before! Don’t miss this—they will sell out!)
H10 – 10:30: 1st Baby Goat Yoga session
H10:45 – 11:15: 2nd Baby Goat Yoga session
H11:00: Kids Bike Parade
Decorate your bike, decorate the whole family—prizes will be awarded! Evergreen Bicycle Outfitters will be on hand to make sure your bikes are ready for action, and Evergreen Fire/Rescue will be present to check helmets or provide one if needed.
*Preregistration for tethered hot air balloon rides, Goat Yoga sessions
and bike parade required.

H3:30: Float Like a Buffalo brings it all home
Sounds like fun? It will be, but there is still more. The log rolling competition will be back, ax throwing for adults has been added this year, food trucks for every taste, and a bar with fun cocktail selections. After this festival, go home, regroup, take a catnap, and then come back out to Hiwan Golf Club for the finale… a drone show. Separate tickets for this event will be required and Hiwan will have to limit the number of tickets sold, so don’t delay in securing yours! All non-member attendees will need to be shuttled to and from the club—no one will be able to drive up to Hiwan if they are not a pre-ticketed member of the club. Bike riding is encouraged as there will be a bike corral available. Shuttle locations are Stagecoach Park and Evergreen Middle School.
An important detail for all the events of the day is that no outside alcohol will be allowed at either Buchanan Ball Fields or at Hiwan Golf Club.
