Whether you’ve lived in the same place your whole life or are just starting in a new location, here are five simple ways to help you love where you live. The Conifer area business owners have a lot to offer us residents. You can connect with close to 300 members at the Chamber.

Set Yourself a Challenge

You can make a game of going to every restaurant in Conifer and trying as many burgers or pizzas as possible. Try all sorts of varieties and make it a fun hobby sometimes. Go alone or invite friends to join you. You can even go further with a “burger hop,” and at each place, pick one burger and split it four ways, do all sorts of ridiculous judging, comparing the toppings, the bun, the width of the patty, and so forth. You could try out different golf courses, biking trails, art galleries, wine tastings, bookstores, or whatever you enjoy. It’s fun to explore Conifer and feel like you know quite a bit about at least one aspect. Plus, it makes planning date nights or family outings a cinch.

Join Something to Get Involved In

You could join a library, gym, church, playgroup or running club. Anywhere that will help you get out of the house and meet people with whom you might become friends that will help you love where you live. Seeing some of them at the grocery store or library makes you feel connected to where you LIVE.

Host a Party in Your Home or Business

This does not have to be a fancy party. I promise every person likes to be invited to something, no matter how big or small. Make a dessert and have a few people over. Pop some popcorn and watch the premier of a show you like. Get some bowls and spoons, serve ice cream, and host an ice cream social. Invite a bunch of families to bring a pie, judge them and give prizes.

Invite Friends or Family to Visit

One of my favorite things about living in the mountains of Conifer is all the fun things to do in our neighborhood. For example, where are the best places to go out to eat? Having visitors forces you to look at your home with fresh eyes and see all the fun things that it offers.

Look Beyond Your Neighborhood

Start exploring what else there is to do in Conifer. You can go hiking, sledding or any outdoor activities available to us. And remember to visit other mountain communities to partake in all the activities in our area.

Take advantage of as much of what Conifer has to offer, focusing your travel more on area destinations. However, looking beyond what your go-to areas offer opens up a new world of possibilities for day trips and weekend adventures. We have a great resource in the mountains to take advantage of this opportunity.

Membership with the Conifer Chamber connects you to our community, its resources, and many opportunities to grow your business. Chamber members can access exclusive programs and venues that help build a business and personal relationships, increase visibility, and generate leads. The Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce’s in-person office hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 am – 2 pm, or by appointment. If you need to reach us when we are not in the office, please call us at 303.838.5711 and leave a message. Messages are checked daily, and we will return your call.
