Who says you have to wait until December to get excited about Christmas? The Conifer Area Chamber of Commerce is kicking off Christmas in July by opening registration for all of our Christmas in Conifer celebrations, and now is the perfect time to start planning for the most magical season of the year.
Christmas in Conifer has become one of our community’s favorite traditions because it brings together businesses, nonprofits, community groups, and residents to celebrate everything that makes our mountain community special. The more people who get involved, the more festive, joyful and memorable the season becomes. Starting early gives everyone the opportunity to dream big, collaborate, and create experiences that people will remember long after the holidays are over.

One of the best ways to participate is by hosting a Holiday Happening. From Small Business Saturday on November 28 through January 1, businesses and organizations are invited to create holiday events that welcome the community through their doors. Whether it’s an open house, photos with Santa, holiday crafts, sledding party, live music, cocoa and cookies, special shopping events, or something completely unique, Holiday Happenings are a fun way to showcase your business while creating lasting memories for local families.
Need a little inspiration? Join Docia Boylen on Tuesday, July 21 at 11 am for a workshop packed with creative ideas and practical tips for hosting a successful Holiday Happening. You’ll leave with fresh ideas for attracting visitors, building community connections, and making your event one that everyone looks forward to each year.
Of course, no Christmas in Conifer would be complete without the annual Christmas Parade. Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 5, when festive floats, holiday music, and plenty of Christmas spirit will travel down Sutton Road beginning at 2 pm. Even better, all parade float registrations are FREE during the month of July, making now the perfect time to reserve your place and start designing an unforgettable entry.
The season officially begins on November 28 with the Conifer Community Church Christmas Light Premiere at 5 pm, launching another year of Light Up Conifer. Residents and businesses are encouraged to decorate their homes and storefronts as the community explores the displays and votes for their favorites through December 21.
Christmas in July is also the perfect reminder to plan for shopping local this holiday season. Every local purchase helps strengthen our economy, supports our neighbors, and keeps our community thriving.
The countdown to Christmas starts now. Register early, start planning, and help make Christmas in Conifer 2026 our brightest, busiest, and most joyful celebration yet!
