An intermittent Evergreen resident since 1970, Stephen Knapp is a former newspaper reporter and current freelance writer with a liking for local history and a taste for the outdoors. The author of a self-published guide to the Emerald City, he has also co-authored three historical volumes of regional interest and is currently working his way up and over Colorado’s 12ers and 13ers.
