Of course you would agree our community is amazing! A big piece of that character comes from our restaurants. Last month, I talked about some of our local restaurants and their dedication to getting through the pandemic as well as to our community. Let’s follow up this month with more amazing restaurants!

Ernie’s Mountain Bakery in Kings Valley, owned by Tina McCullough, just celebrated her 1-year anniversary! This is a must-visit spot for amazing pies, bread, breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon rolls and so much more! Los 3 Garcias is another top-notch restaurant! Daniel and his team have been in the area for many years and are always active at the local festivals. They offer great food and great service! My favorite dish over there is the Molcajetes—a Mexican stew with amazing broth and your choice of meats. Stop in and tell them you read about it in Colorado Serenity. Mac Nation is another must-try spot with some of the best Mac ‘n’ Cheese around! This is a family owned restaurant located in Indian Hills. Owner Alton Frisbie has won numerous awards for the tasty mac! Marshdale General Store is a great spot to pick up a breakfast burrito, tacos for dinner or any of their specials. Husband and wife duo Brad and Beverly put a lot of love into their food and into our community. Super convenient and so tasty! Rocky Mountain Wraps is located near the Conifer Chamber office and offers unique options for lunch and dinner! Stop by to get delicious wraps, soup or salad. Another husband and wife team, Bill and Kate Bedortha, are always cooking up delicious food there. Mike over at Snowpack Taproom is celebrating five years this year. There is always something going on for the community at Snowpack! Mike has made a number of changes over the past few months, my favorite being the new woodfired pizza options! Cosmic Kitchen is brought to you by the folks over at Taspen’s Organics, Keith and Heather Baruch. This is the go-to spot for two things: first, fantastic food, and second, food options like gluten free and vegetarian. Conifer Cafe is one of the Chamber’s newest members. We are excited to have owner Jeannine Hsiung! This is a great breakfast and lunch spot and she has so many options on the menu, everyone will be happy! Be sure to check it out! The Well at Bradford Junction is another local treasure with an amazing atmosphere. Owner Leslie Murray has created a great place with live music, drinks and great food! Briefly jumping over to Evergreen, The Wild Game has so many things to offer including an amazing menu with many options. Of course, you have to spend some time at their bowling alley and arcade and check out the other activities like their drive-in movie. Tomari’s, owned by Tom Miszewski, is located in Morrison and is a super cute coffee shop offering some of the best coffee around!

In a normal year, we go out to eat and drink to meet friends, laugh, cry, catch up, find out what is going on in the community, and laugh some more. It is good for our souls. It is how we connect, and I’m looking forward to connecting with you this year at these local eateries!

Are you looking to get out and go sledding? Sign up for the 285 Winterfest Luge competition on February 27.
